Airbus 320 | How to begin its career.

In 1983, the consortium Airbus Industry decided to use the new V2500 turbojet on the A320 aircraft developed by the international engine building consortium International Aero Engines,
formed by the firms of the USA, Great Britain, Germany, Japan and Italy. The use of this engine was to expand the A320 market. Flight tests of the aircraft with V2500-A1 engines began on July 28, 1988. The aircraft with the V2500-A1 engine, designated A320-230, was certified in Europe in April 1989, and in May the Yugoslav airline Adria Airway received the first aircraft.

In the United States, this modification was certified in early July 1989. At the end of 1993, the supply of an airplane with V2527-A5 engines began, which is a variant of the V2530-A5 turbojet engine used on the A321 aircraft. The airplane is equipped with a digital EFIS avionics complex manufactured by the French firm THOMCOH- CSF, consisting of six color multifunction displays for the output of flight-navigation information, as well as data on the operation of on-board systems and warnings of failures. All avionics comply with the ARINC 700 standard. It is produced serially from 1988.
