ELAC 1 PITCH FAULT,and ELAC 1 FAULT

So here stated its ELAC 1 PITCH FAULT,and not the ELAC 1 FAULT.I have seen many of this opinion that the MEL says (m) meaning Maintenance actions and so go back to bay. Here is my point of view, being a certifying staff on A320s.

The MEL Ref. 27-93-01A which basically aplies both to ELAC 1 FAULT as well as ELAC 1 PITCH FAULT.However, the difference is that in case of pitch fault, the Maintenance Action basically requires performing a check of the THS using the ELAC 2 motor.

The exact same procedure is given in the QRH, although QRH don't tell the Pilot about what specifically the operational check is verifying. Nevertheless, if you find ELAC 1 PITCH FAULT during taxi and return back to gate, the maintenance is basically performing the same thing as the QRH asks you to do. So, if you have checked as per the QRH and finds satisfactory results, its meaningless to return back to bay. Its better you accept the aircraft, fly it to its destination and report upon reaching there.
In case of ELAC 1 fault, the maintenance action requires deactivating the ELAC 1 computer by pulling CBs.

There you may consider scenarios, such as returning back to bay, or putting the ELAC 1 push-button to OFF and accepting the airplane for at least the sector being operated.
