Hybrid-Metallic fan blade
PW1100G has the largest fan diameter on A320 family. With its “Hybrid-Metallic” fan blade, 20 of these spin at 3281 RPM reaching a tip speed of almost twice the speed of sound.
In order to reduce weight, fan blades are made of hollow Aluminum with a Titanium leading edge.
